Marvelous Monday: Studs/Spikes!

It’s Marvelous Monday, everybody! This is a weekly blog challenge between myself and four other fabulous fatshion bloggers (one new this week!). Make sure to go check out their outfits today, too! Links are at the bottom of the post.

Our philosophy: Monday is nobody’s favorite day of the week, but maybe its terrible reputation is a little undeserved. We’re on a mission to make ours (and hopefully yours) a little less awful by dressing marvelously!

This week’s theme: Studs or spikes

I really like this trend, and for this post I decided to go with a garment I’ve had since before this was so trendy. It’s a simple black skirt, but with an awesome silver studded waistband. I’m also wearing my new oxblood leggings from ASOS Curve — awesome color, unfortunately they seem to be made for someone quite a bit taller than me and bag at the knees and ankles quite a bit. Oh well, they’re stil great, just something to keep in mind if you’re thinking of ordering a pair.

The scarf is also from ASOS, and I’m not sure it comes across well in the photos, but this is an interesting pattern–the floral pattern is not just random, it’s in the shape of crosses. So that’s another trend for you right there, cross prints are very in style right now!

Hopefully you like my take on this theme. Don’t forget to check out the other girls’ blogs today! (Links below.)

  1. Wow, that skirt is fabulous! You look great, I really the pop of colour from the leggings and the pattern of the scarf is really interesting, you’re right crosses are super in at the moment, maybe we should add that to the list of possible MM themes? 🙂

Shame about the length of the leggings, asos curve things always seem a little off on the length.

    • Thanks! And yeah, we should keep it in mind 🙂

I know, a lot of dresses I’ve tried from there are too long on me as well, and I’m pretty average height (5’5) and don’t generally have that problem. Oh well!
